Affiliate program terms

The short version: you earn of what the people you refer pay, . Once a commission clears a refund hold, we pay it by bank transfer at the end of the month, or straight away once your cleared balance reaches . Be honest about your link, and don't refer yourself.

Version —

1. Joining

Anyone with an InkChamps account can join from the affiliate dashboard. You get a personal link (inkchamps.com/?ref=yourcode) and a code straight away. You don't have to be a paying customer.

2. Who counts as your referral

Someone becomes your referral when they sign in to InkChamps within of clicking your link. If they clicked several affiliates' links, the most recent one counts. Once someone is your referral, they stay yours.

Accounts that had already paid InkChamps before they reached you are not referrals. Neither is your own account, or any account you control.

We remember your link in the visitor's browser storage. If they clear it, switch device or browser before signing up, we cannot credit you, and we can't fix that afterwards.

3. Commission

You earn of every payment a referral makes: subscription payments, renewals and credit packs, . Commission is worked out on what they actually paid, after any discount and excluding tax, in US dollars.

If we change the commission rate, the new rate applies to payments made after the change. Commission you have already earned is never recalculated.

4. Refund hold and clawbacks

Each commission waits after the payment before it can be paid out. If the payment is refunded or charged back, the commission on it is reversed: in full, or in proportion for a partial refund. If that commission was already paid to you, the amount is taken off your next payout.

5. Payouts

We pay by bank transfer to the account on your dashboard: in Indian rupees by IMPS/NEFT to an Indian bank account, converted at that day's rate, or in US dollars by international (SWIFT) transfer to a bank account anywhere else.

At the end of each month we pay everything that cleared its hold during the month, if it comes to at least . Smaller balances roll over to the next month. Early payout: as soon as your cleared, unpaid balance reaches , we pay it without waiting for the month to end. Either way we send it within , and email you the amount and the transfer reference.

InkChamps pays all transfer fees, including the fees banks charge along the way on international transfers, so the full amount reaches you. Keep your bank details correct; a transfer sent to the account you gave us counts as paid. Any taxes on your commission are yours to report and pay.

6. How you may promote InkChamps

  • Say that your link is an affiliate link, every time. “(affiliate link)” is enough.
  • Describe InkChamps truthfully. Don't promise free books or free credits: there is no free plan.
  • Don't bid on “InkChamps” or misspellings of it in paid search ads, and don't use our name in a domain or account name that could be mistaken for ours.
  • No spam: no unsolicited email, comment flooding, or posting where links aren't welcome.
  • No fake sign-ups, paying people to sign up, or tricks that set your code without a real visit.
  • No coupon or deal sites.
  • Don't speak for InkChamps or present yourself as part of it.

7. Reviews

Clicks that come from a paid ad (one that carries an ad click id, or is tagged as paid) or from a coupon, cashback or deal site don't count, and those visitors don't become your referrals.

A sign-up that looks like it could be your own account, because it came from an internet connection you use or has an email at your own company's domain, waits for our review. What it earns is held until we approve it, and earns nothing if we refuse it. If we refuse a referral whose commission was already paid, that amount comes off your next payout.

8. Pausing, closing and leaving

You can stop promoting at any time and ask us to close your affiliate account. Commission that has cleared its hold is still paid at month end once it reaches the minimum, the same as for everyone else.

We may pause your account, which stops new commission but still pays what you earned. If you break these terms we may close it instead: your link stops counting, commission not yet paid is cancelled, and we email you the reason. Payouts already sent stay yours.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. We will email you before a change takes effect, and changes never apply to commission you have already earned.
