What Is Amazon KDP? Can You Publish Coloring Books on It?

Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) is Amazon's free self-publishing platform for paperbacks, hardcovers, and eBooks. You upload your book's interior and cover files, Amazon prints each copy on demand when someone orders it, and you earn a royalty on every sale — with no inventory or upfront printing cost.

Yes, you can publish coloring books on KDP, and they are one of its most popular book types. KDP does not generally treat coloring books as low-content, so they qualify for a free KDP ISBN and Expanded Distribution. The interior must be a PDF at a supported trim size (8.5 x 11 in is the most common for coloring books), with bleed if the artwork runs to the page edge.

InkChamps creates coloring book interiors formatted for these KDP trim sizes and exports them as print-ready PDFs. You still control your listing, cover, price, keywords, category choices, and final upload checks inside Amazon.
